10-11-09 Adopted - Mango
Great News! Mango is now a member of the Cobb family. My brother Darryl, his wife Jill and her son Lane along with Laila & Boo, the two little female dogs in the family are all very happy to welcome Mango into their home. Darryl, with his famous sense of humor has already given Mango two nicknames, Forrest Gums (you should see his teeth, looked like he ate rocks while he was a hobo dog) and Clod (as in Dirt Clod, because hobo dogs eat dirt for the all nutrient value they can find). The best news is that I get to see him whenever I want. He's quite a special dog and so grateful to have been rescued. We did have a scare over Thanksgiving requiring surgery for something he shouldn't have eaten, but he's now a very healthy dog, enjoying the good life in Agoura Hills.
Found on Mango Street in Fontana, CA, Mango is an apparent Foreclosure Orphan. He was living in a field for six months, surviving by his wits and being fed by kind women in the local community. Mango is currently being fostered in Agoura Hills, but needs a forever home.
Mango has received a wellness checkup, has been temperament-tested, is current on all shots and has a microchip. His tax-deductible adoption fee will include his neuter, microchip and shots.
