PARIS OUTA TIME!!! A0866779 South L.A. JUST SPOKE TO TOMIKA, SHE SAID SHE IS A GREAT DOG.. BUT ONLY HAS UNTIL FRIDAY THE 27TH..PERIOD.. NO EXTENTIONS.

Tragically sad. Devastatingly depressed. Heart-breaking and heart-broken. And only three years old. I guess we need to hear this story yet again. Adopted as a puppy -- returned three years later -- Why? "No Time."

I found the time -- it really wasn't difficult. The time to take her out for a walk. The time to rub her curly coat (like a frill around her neck), a very thick almost shepherdy coat. And I found the time to see her eyes light up. This was not the same dog that cowered in the corner of her kennel, trying to make herself invisible. Not the same dog that her "owners" dumped on March 7th. Not the same dog that they obviously stuck in a yard and overfed for three years -- forgetting her, ignoring the light in this dog's eyes until it was extinguished from neglect.

Her name is Paris, the City of Light in France. We did not speak of the French yesterday -- just of sniffing and munching treats and other dog things of interest. Paris is the perfect lady -- gentle as could be on our walk, prancing beside me, never pulling.
